Component Testing
DOK-LOK Hydraulic Power Unit Test
1. BAD O/L: Little or infinite ohm reading (no needle
movement) between lead 1 and 2, 1 and 3. Set
multimeter to ohms.
2. OPEN WINDING: Infinite ohms (no needle movement)
between lead 2 and 3. Check between leads 2 and 1 or
3 and 1 to determine which winding is open.
3. MECHANICAL BINDING: Motor hums. Motor leads
show continuity between all windings. Shaft does not
move.
Sensing Switch Test Procedure
1. Switch must be installed to test. Apply 12VDC power to
the green lead (black lead common).
2. Set multimeter to VDC scale for DC voltage test.
3. Attach voltmeter leads to white and black wires of
sensing switch. You should have:
— magnet present - 0VDC
— magnet not present - 12VDC

light and horn are pulsing. Outside red
light is flashing. All buttons do not
function.
Controls are in neutral state. Contact your local representative or
RITE-HITE .
6 DOK-LOK horn does not sound, but
lights and barrier are operational.
Horn is defective. Power horn using 12V DC power. If horn
does not sound, replace as required.
Damaged CPU module. LED labeled HORN should be flashing
while in FAULT state. If not, replace CPU
module as required.
Incorrect wiring. Verify wiring per Electrical Schematic
(Standard) , Figure 14, page 13 and
Electrical Schematic (Optional) , Figure 15,
page 14 .
7 DOK-LOK barrier is in STORED
position with an inside green light.
Incorrect wiring. Verify wiring of SW1 and SW2 at the
control box and outside junction box.
