Before Installation

In advance, connect the machine to the network and config u re printer network s et-
ting s (ex. IP addre ss ). For detail s , s ee RISO Network Card U s er' s G u ide (con-
tained in RISO Network Card SOFTWARE CD-ROM).

Set a Screen Ma s ter Roll in the machine in advance.

Perform steps 1 to 4 of the "Installation Proce-
dure" on page 23.

1) Click [Use another connection method].
2) Click [Next].
Network Connection (LAN)
To connect the machine to a LAN, the optional "RISO Network Card" i s req u ired.
• Use a commercially available Ethernet cable (10BASE-T or 100BASE-
TX) (Category 5 or higher) appropriate for your network environment.
• To install the printer driver, it is necessary to log on to Windows by the
account with the authority to change the system setting (administrator, etc.).
For the procedure of manual installation, see "Manually Installing the Printer
Driver" on page 73.
