f) «TV-camera adjustment» – in case of TV-camera detection zone
adjustment.
2.16 Detection angle:
а) for PIR-channel in horizontal plane 90
-2
°;
b) for TV-channel in horizontal plane 60
-2
°.
2.17 The Detector ensures safe operation under the following conditions:
- ambient temperature 263 … 323 K (minus 10 … +50 °С);
- relative humidity up to 95 % at 298 К (+25 °С) without moisture
condensation.
2.18 The Detector in its package during transportation is resistant to
the following impacts:
- transport jolting with the acceleration 30 m/sec
2
with impact frequency
from 10 to 120 impacts/sec or 15000 impacts with the same acceleration;
- ambient temperature 233…323 K (minus 50 … +50 °С);
- relative humidity up to (95 ± 3) at 308 К (+35 °С).
2.19 After transportation under the conditions different to exploitation con-
ditions the Detector shall be ready to operate after a maximum of six hours.
2.20 Stability of PIR-channel operation is provided by the Detector
resistance to:
- movement of small objects with diameter up to 30 mm and length up
to 150 mm (small animals);
- background illumination differential up to 6500 lx having capacity of
1 000 W, located at a distance not less than 1 meter from the Detector.
2.21 The Detector remains operative under changing of direct voltage
on its power supply terminals in the range of 10…13.2 V.
2.22 Average time to failure in standby mode is not less than 25000 hours.
2.23 Fault probability resulting in false alarm is not more than 0.01 at
1000 h.

4 The Detector Design
4.1 The Detector is designed as a single unit with removable cover
blocking the access to external leading-in sockets and Detector fasteners.
The Detector construction allows to dismantle it with the possibility of the
following assembly backwards.
4.2 The Detector consists of the base with the installed PCB, cover with
Frenel lens, providing the requested detection zone and TV-camera for
additional verification of the intruder detection.
4.3 The Detector comprises two-color LED indicator, providing the
opportunity of availability check and displaying the following information:
- LED indicator blinking red at a frequency 1 Hz during 60 s after
energizing confirms the Detector is in procces of turning to normal
operation mode;
- LED indication absence displays «Norm» message generation;
- LED indicator lighting red during the time not less than 2 s informs
about «Alarm» message generation;
- LED indicator alternate blinking red and green at switched off TV-
camera represents «PIR-channel failure» message generation;
- LED indicator blinking green at a frequency 2 Hz means that
«Overtemperature failure» message is generated;
- Periodical LED indicator blinking green at a frequency 0.5 Hz informs
about Detector operation in «TV-camera adjustment» mode.
4.4 On the Detector PCB the switchgear, comprising five «on-off» DIP-
switches («1» – «5») for the following function execution:
- the Detector sensitivity adjustment;
- settig the Detector testing mode;
- LED indication disabling;
- TV-camera operation mode choosing.
4.1.5 The Detector comprises additional relay for video-system
supervision.
5 Installation
5.1 The detector is intended for application inside closed premises.
5.2 When choosing the installation place it is necessary to fulfill the
following recommendations:
- There must be no windows, air conditioners, space heaters or heating
radiators as well as incandescent lamps near the Detector;
- In fundamental structures it is advisable to install the Detector on the
wall or in the corner of the room;
- In the lightweight metal construction building structures one should
avoid the Detector mounting on walls, it is advisable to select structural
elements of a construction (columns, trusses, etc.) as a place of the
Detector installation;
- To avoid appearance of the deposited frost on a lens and a case in
winter time, it is forbidden to install the Detector directly into the openings
of the entrance gate;
- The detection zone should not be limited by non-transparent objects
(curtains, houseplants, cabinets, bookcases, etc.), that can create «dead
zones», preventing the intruder detection;
- In the room with the Detector installed during the period of safeguarding
the following conditions should be fulfilled:
- windows, openings, balcony doors should be closed;
- forced air supply, air conditioners, space heaters or heating
radiators should be switched off;
- absence of animals or birds.
