(4) Drum Master Sensor
Description
The drum master sensor is located at a fixed
distance relative to the drum. By means of
reflected light, this sensor detects master setting
errors.
When a master setting error occurs, "MASTER
SET ERROR" is displayed.
While the master is not set to the drum, printing
will not start even if the (PRINT) key is pressed.
Instead, “CANNOT PRINT” is displayed.

Reflected light amount
The larger the reflected light amount is, the
smaller the output voltage to the main PCB unit
is. The smaller the light amount is, the larger the
output voltage is.
The value is checked with HELP - 005.
Sensitivity adjustment of the master
detect sensor
Make adjustment in HELP-005 so that:
Sensitivity is 15 or less when the master is
present on the drum surface,
Sensitivity is 150 or more when the master is
not present on the drum surface.
