3.2 System set-up
The system consists of a sensor unit integrated in the pump ’ s
containment can ( SAFERUN
®
CMS-S containment shell) and the
externally mounted SAFERUN
®
CMS-T converter. Both units are
connected via a detachable cable connection.
The system is supplied with energy via a suitable external energy
source (e.g. a certified feed and signal isolator in a 3-wire circuit,
with circuits in the
“ intrinsic safety ” protection type).
The measured values are transferred to the higher-level system
via the 4-20 mA current interface.
The parameters are set and the stored measured values are read
out using a portable reader (optional tablet) via the
SAFERUN
®
CMS-T ’ s RFID radio interface.

CMS T converter may only be connected
to the original SAFERUN
®
CMS S containment can from
Richter.
