Inside the settings dialogs, the “DEL” button is used to clear the
whole input at once.
Numeric keys are used to enter the numerical characters inside
the dialogs. On the top level of the “Scan” page, they have no
function.
Top line
Navigation line of the screen, which allows switching between
setup menus (“Bearing”, “Scan”, “Decode” and “Setup”).

The last result, which was found during the last scan is displayed with frequency/channel, day
and time besides the scan mode (s.Fig. 19, field A). This allows the direct opening of a
frequency for bearing, which was found in an earlier scan cycle.

During any scan is active, the field for the day indication shows “Running” instead of the
actual day indication (s. Fig. 19, field B).

Further, if the “Exclude List” is used for a scan algorithm (only for “Marine Scan” and “Scan
List” available), this will be shown in the table in the second column as “ON” (s. Fig. 20, field
C). If the “Exclude List” is not used, it is marked with “OFF” (s.Fig. 20, field D).
6.2.1 COSPAS-SARSAT Scan
In this scan mode, the direction finder keeps scanning the entire COSPAS-SARSAT range of
channels (s. 6.1.2.3 and 6.1.2.5) until a signal is detected on one of the channel groups (s.
Fig. 21, field A).
