Assembly Section 3-4

@ 2021 Alamo Group Inc.

TAIL WHEEL ASSEMBLY - LIFT

1. Attach the Tailwheel Adjustment Bracket (2)

to the cutter deck with 1/2” x 1-1/2” Hex Bolts

(7), 1/2” Lockwashers (6), and 1/2”

Flatwashers (5) as shown.

2. Insert Tailwheel weldment (1) through the

Bracket (3) as shown and attach the

weldment to the deck pivot points with a 1” x

5” Hex Bolt (9) and a 1” Toplock Nut (10).

3. Insert Wheel Assembly (4) upward into the

Tailwheel weldment (1) castor tube and

secure with included 1-58” Flatwasher (11)

and a 3/8” x 2-1/2” Cotter Pin (12).

4. Adjust tailwheel to desired height and secure

with two 1/2” x 1-1/2” Hex Bolts (7) and 1/2”

Toplock Nuts (8) as shown.

TONGUE

1. Assemble tongue to cutter deck by aligning tongue (1) with hitch ear holes and inserting the tongue pins

(4) through hitch ears and tongue bushings as shown. Install 1/2” x 1-1/2” Hex Bolts (6) through the tongue

pin flag and hitch ear and secure with 1/2” Toplock Nut (7).

NOTE:

On left hand side of unit, the 1/2” x 1-1/2” Hex Bolt (6) will go through the tongue pin flag, deck hitch

ear, and then through Hose Holder (5) before being secured by the locknut (7).

2. Attach the hitch control rod (3) to the hitch leveling lug (2) by inserting Clevis Pin (8) through both the

control rod and leveling lug and secure with a 1” flatwasher (9) and a 3/16” x 2” cotter pin (10).

NOTE:

The hitch leveling lug (2) can be slid forward/backward to level the tongue clevis
