3.9.1 IP Video
The
MediaWall V
can decode and display multiple IP video streams or media files
simultaneously on the AP desktop. The maximum number of simultaneous streams and/or
files ranges from six (6) at 1920 × 1080p and 30 fps, to as many as 20 or more at 640 × 480p
and 30 fps.
Click the
IP Video
sub-tab to see a list of active IP video streams or files. Each entry in the
list contains the stream/file number (
No
), the path to the application used for playback
(always VLC
®
Media Player
®
), and stream URL or path to the video file (
Source
).
The lower-left corner of the window
displays information about resource
usage (in megapixels per second
(
MegPix/s
)) related to IP decoding
activity.
S T A R T I N G V I D E O P L A Y B A C K
To create a new instance of VLC Media Player and play back an IP video stream or file:
1.
Click
Start Decoder
.
2.
Enter the stream URL (for example,
rtsp://
192.168.0.1/stream1
) or full path to the file (for
example,
"C:\Users\Public\Videos\Sample
Videos\Wildlife.wmv"
) in the
Source
box.
Enclose the path in straight double quotes (") if
it contains spaces.
3.
Set the
X
and
Y
position of the top-left corner of
the window in which to display the video. Enter
values between 0 (top/left) and 1 (bottom/right).
4.
Set the
Width
and
Height
of the window in
which to display the video, relative to the AP
desktop width and height.
5.
Set the
Audio
to
On
or
Off
.
6.
Click
Apply
.

Use the buttons in the
Audio
column to turn the audio on or off.
