Gas Connections
⚠ DANGER ⚠
• All components of a gas supply system must be leak-tested prior to placing equipment into
service. Use a non-corrosive leak detecting solution.
• Never test for leaks with an open flame.
• Piping joint compound must be resistant to the action of liquefied petroleum gases.
• DO NOT install any gas piping in heat zones.
⚠ CAUTION ⚠
• All piping must be installed according to local codes. Use new clean pipe. Inspect and clean out
any chips or debris before installing the pipe and fittings.
b . Connect one end of short chain (11 inches (279-mm)) to front of heater using S-hook C . Connect other end
of short chain to long chain by hooking S-hook D in loop of long chain .
c . Adjust degree of mounting angle as necessary by moving S-hook D .
d . Ensure unit is level and crimp closed all S-hooks .
