Operational Principals
DB3 Plug&Play module is designed to acquire records and send them to the
server. Records contain GNSS data and I/O information. The module uses GNSS
receiver to acquire GNSS data and is powered by three data acquire methods:
time-based, distance-based and angle-based method. Note, that if DB3
Plug&Play loses connection to GNSS satellites, it continues to make records,
however, coordinate in these records remains the same (last known
coordinate). Method’s details are described in section 5.11. All data is stored in
flash memory and later can be sent via GPRS.
GPRS and SMS settings are described in later sections. DB3 Plug&Play
communicates with the server using special data protocol. Data protocol is
described in “DB3 Plug&Play Protocols” document.
DB3 Plug&Play can be managed by SMS commands. SMS Command list is
described in SMS COMMAND LIST section. Module configuration can be
performed over TCP or via SMS. Configuration parameters and modes are
described in “DB3 Plug&Play Protocols” document.
