As the filter limits approach the nadir search limits, the NS gates are automatically
updated to center the nadir search on the detected seafloor.

The NS gates can be moved manually with the mouse/trackball by right-clicking and
selecting Move Nadir Gate.

5.7.2.5 Quality Filter

Enable Quality Filter:

Allows the operator to prevent export and display of

any data which does not exceed a predetermined quality threshold.

For details on the quality testing, see

section 7.3 Quality

5.7.3 Ocean Settings

The Ocean Menu tab allows the operator to enter various correction factors to
compensate for changing environmental conditions.

NOTE

For all sliders on the Ocean Menu tab, the new settings will not be sent until the
mouse has released control of the sliders.

5.7.3.1 Change the Absorption Loss Value (Absorption)

The Absorption slider allows the operator to enter the amount of loss expected through
the ambient water medium. The range available is from 0 to 120dB/km. The last selected
user setting is stored and will be recalled upon system startup.
