Volume adaptation
Volumes
Options: “Adjust”, “Automatic”
Factory setting: “Automatic”
With the adjustment channel “Volumes” either the auto-
matic adaptation or the manual adjustment of the volume
values of the system can be selected.
If “Automatic” is selected, the controller adapts the neces-
sary volumes automatically. For more information about
the automatic volume adaptation see chap. 11.2.
If “Adjust” is selected, the adjustment channels for the
volumes of the different system parts appear as shown
below.
Volume HX

Adjustment of the pipe material in order to determine the
thermal capacity.
Diameter of the pipes between collector and pump
station.
Diameter of the pipes between heat exchanger and pump
station.
Length of the pipes between collector and pump station.
Enter the single length of the pipes; flow and return do not
have to be counted separately.
Length of the pipes between heat exchanger and pump

Volume of the collector field. The specifications required
can be found on the type label of the collector.
The factory setting equals the usual volume of a collector
field of approx. 8 m².
Volume of the heat exchanger. The specifications required
can be found on the type label of the store.
The factory setting equals the usual volume of the internal
heat exchanger of a 300-litre store.
The adaptation, resp. adjustment of the system volumes will
usually have been effected upon first commissioning. In the
case of a deviation, they can be corrected in this menu.
Volumes already adapted are discarded and replaced by
calculated values if the setting is changed from “Adapt”
to “Adjust”. When the setting is changed from “Adjust”
to “Automatic”, the adaptation process will start over.
(see chap. 11.2 for more information about the adaptation
process).
Note:
Only alter the setting of “Volumes” if the con-
nected solar thermal system has been changed!
