1.
Place
bench
top
face
down
on
a
fl
at
surface.
2.
Using
the
65mm
hex
head
screws
supplied,
screw
supports
onto
slats,
taking
care
not
to
over
ghten
as
this
could
strip
the
thread
in
the
support.
3.
Once
all
screws
have
been
ghtened
turn
bench
over
and
place
into
posi on.
Handy
Hint
When
installing
an
in
‐
ground
bench,
it
is
a
good
idea
to
nail
a
mber
plank
to
the
sides
of
the
supports,
approx
300mm
from
the
underside
of
the
horizontal
slats.
This
will
ensure
that
the
supports
are
ver cal
and
parallel.
This
will
also
help
to
eliminate
any
sagging
of
the
bench
slats
due
to
uneven
ground
or
varia on
of
hole
depths.
Place
the
supports
of
the
assembled
bench
(with
the
mber
bracing
s ll
a ached)
into
the
holes
and
pack
the
concrete
mix
around
the
bo om
of
each
support.
At
this
stage
it
is
important
to
use
a
spirit
level
to
check
that
the
seat
is
horizontal
and
the
supports
are
ver cal.
Once
sa s
fi
ed
that
the
bench
is
posi oned
correctly,
fi
ll
the
holes
with
concrete,
making
sure
it
is
packed
fi
rmly
around
the
supports.
Once
the
concrete
has
set,
remove
the
mber
bracing.
