3.12 Update of security key
3.12.1
Features
BN tool manages each security keys of DUK, WK and SWK. BN tool can update them. The contents
that can be executed with this function are as follows.

Updating the DUK managed by BN tool. The new key is immediately validated.

Updating the WK managed by BN tool and a SN. When the update process completes successfully,
the new key is immediately validated.

Updating the SWK managed by BN tool and all SNs on the network. When the update process
completes successfully, the new key is immediately invalidated. The old key is valid for 180 minutes
and it will be invalid after that.
3.12.2
Update of DUK
BN tool can update the DUK managed by itself. When this function is executed, the DUK used by BN
is updated immediately.

Update procedure
(1)
Click a “DUK” button of “Update Sec Key”. “Input new device unique key” dialog pops up.
(2) Input the DUK
and click “OK” button.
NOTE: The DUK used for the actual operation will be returned to the default value when this tool is reset
even if the modified value is still shown in the DUK window. Please execute the procedure shown abobe
again if you need to use the modified value.
