Safety Instructions and Setting of the Brakes
1.
When unfolding the wheelchair take care not to grasp the the frame of the seat – there is the risk of
trapping the fingers!
2.
The
setting of the brakes
should be carried out by trained
skilled personnel, however, if you have
sufficient experience you can carry this out yourself.
With the brake mechanism open to the maximum, the clearance between the brake bolts and the tyre
casing at the narrowest point should be 12-14 mm.
For the setting / correction of the clearance, loosen the screws. Then push the brakes into the correct
position. Then re-tighten the screws and check the function of the brakes. The wheelchair should not be
able to be pushed with the brakes applied.
With changes of the wheelbase, it may be necessary to completely remove the screws and fit the brakes
in a slot further to the front or the back.
Attention
! Incorrectly set brakes can have life-threatening consequences.
