2.3 Personal protective equipment
Use the prescribed personal protective equipment as required (e.g. ear protection, eye protection, safety shoes, helmet, protective clothing, protective
gloves) when working at the system in which the device is installed. Information on personal protective equipment requirements is set out in the relevant
national regulations of the respective country of operation.
2.4 Intended use
The device is used solely for heating heating domestic hot water and heating circuit water (according to VDI 2035) in a sealed storage tank made from
metal.
The screw-in immersion heater is designed solely for this purpose and must not be used for any other purposes.

Ensure the water quality complies with national regulations.

2.5 Impermissible operating conditions
The device is not suitable for the following conditions:
• Continuous operation.
• Use with water hardness value > 14 °dH (German hardness).

Recommendation: above 7 °dH maint water softening system
• Heating of water with corrosive content (such as acids or alkaline solutions).
• Use with mineral oils.
• Use with flammable media.
• Dry operation (heating element and sensor protection tube are not surrounded on all sides by the medium to be heated).
• Use in a water heater with integral heat exchanger that can achieve temperatures greater than 90°C.
Note!
Insufficient water quality due to high lime content or contamination will reduce the device service life.
2.6 Warning signs on the device
Warning signs indicate hazards arising from the device. Compliance with the warning signs ensures the safety of all persons working with or on the
machine.
• The warning sign instructions must be followed.
• Always maintain warning signs in a clean and legible state. Immediately reorder damaged or missing warning signs from the manufacturer and
attach to the intended point.
