11. Commissioning the Airplane Model
a) Charging the Flight Battery
The flight battery is charged using a suitable LiPo balancer charger (not included in the delivery). The rechargeable battery must be taken from the model for
charging for safety reasons.
Attention!
During the charging procedure, place the LiPo battery on a fire-proof support or in an appropriate safety bag. Never charge the rechargeable
battery unattended. Never let the LiPo battery get damp or wet. There is a danger of fire or explosion!
b) Checking the Rudder Functions
First start the transmitter, then the model.
On the following photographs, the control stick for the engine speed and aileron (see Fig. 2, Item 10) is in the centre position. This is the position where the model
is later controlled and should fly at a constant height.
To test the rudder deflection it is, however, better to leave the control stick in the bottom position (motor off).
Neutral position:
If the control stick for the rudder function and the associated trim sliders are in the centre position, the rudders should also be precisely in the centre position. If
necessary, the respective clevises can be twisted to adjust the length of the rods so that the rudder can be adjusted precisely.
Figure 10a
Aileron function:
If the control stick for the elevator and aileron functions (see fig 2, item 4) is moved to the left, the left aileron must deflect to the top and the right aileron to the
bottom.
