This is the center boom of a John Deere 4030/4038/4045 self-propelled sprayer. A good
mounting location for the hood adapter bracket has arrows pointing to them.
You could cut a piece of 2 x 2 x1/8 wall tubing and weld it to the adapter plate that was sent
with the kit, and then weld the tube to the flat area where the arrow is pointing.
Then attach the hood mounting bracket with ø5/16 x 1 bolts and lock nuts (not included in
kit).
