Description
The A 5106 enables one of four auxiliary / line level sources to be switched to the connected amplifier.
Inputs and outputs
The selector is provided with 4 auxiliary / line inputs. These consist of stereo RCA sockets (Converted to mono internally).
The sensitivity of each input is adjustable from either 100mV or 1V via the dip switches located on the rear panel. The
output is delivered via a stereo RCA socket.
Microphone Input
A local microphone input is provided (via a Euro block) on the rear panel. When operated, it will automatically mute the
selected program source. The muting can be either vox muting using a 3 core mic cable or PTT muting using a 5 core mic
cable .ie 3 for mic, 2 for PTT. The selected program will commence on completion of paging.
Front Panel Controls
Each input is provided with a program on / off selection switch, volume control, plus LED to indicate input selected.
A separate volume control and LED is provided for the microphone input.
Remote Volume
Provision is provided to alter the volume of the selected input program and microphone level remotely. This is achieved by
connecting a 1K
Ω
potentiometer via a fig 8 cable to the Euro blocks on the rear panel. Note you require separate controls
for program and microphone control.
Remote Program Selection
With the connection of the optional A 5108 control plate, the program source, program volume and microphone volume
can be remotely selected and adjusted. Connection to the selection box is via Cat 5 cable. When connected, the A 5108
can be configured to either work in tandem with the selector, or it can override and prevent operation from the selector
box. Visual indication is given at both locations as to which program source is selected.
