Test installation
1.
On starting the engine, the instrument should power on. If not, switch it on
from the rear-mounted switch. The instrument first displays the software
version installed e.g.
"
A.501
" "
E.001
" "
r.006
" indicates software version WZ501-001 rev.06
The instrument then enters the Normal Operating Mode and should normally
display "
Ch. A
".
If the display shows "
Err.1
" this indicates there is no Moisture Content signal
being received from the sensor. If the display shows "
Err.2
" this indicates
there is no Temperature signal being received from the sensor.
Ref. Section 2.1
2.
Switch the instrument off and then enter the diagnostic mode. Check the
readings are OK. If either voltage signals (channel A and B) are < 0.1
(100mV), re-check the wiring connections. Otherwise the sensor may be
faulty.
Ref. Section 4
3.
With the instrument in Normal Operating Mode and the appropriate channel
selected for the grain type, start harvesting /drying. The display will show a
value for Moisture Content (%) when sufficient grain begins flowing across
the sensor (mounted on the auger in the grain tank).
4. Take a sample of the grain and check the moisture content with a reference
moisture meter. Note the instrument reading, Calculate and enter the
Moisture Correction factor on the appropriate channel for the grain type.
