LockR battery replacement
The low battery warning (a yellow lamp and possibly a beep, depending on
programming) begins when approximately 10% of the battery capacity
remains. Recommendation: Replace the batteries promptly when the
battery warning begins.
When scheduling battery replacement in a large facility with outdoor units, it is best to
schedule it in the autumn or early winter. This is because battery usage is greater at lower
temperatures.
When you replace the batteries, the unit’s clock and function settings are saved for
approximately 3 hours.
Battery specifications
The unit requires two primary batteries of type CR2 (IEC CR15H270) that fulfil battery
safety standard IEC 60086-4.
Warning!
Only the above type of battery may be used. Danger may arise when using
other types of batteries. Replace both batteries at the same time, using two batteries
from the same manufacturer.
Warning!
Incorrect use of lithium batteries can cause fire or damage. Read the
warning texts on the battery packaging.
Sensitive parts in LockR Cylinder!
LockR Cylinder contains ESD-sensitive components. When replacing the batteries,
avoid touching the product's electronics. It is also important not to scratch or damage
the surfaces shown by the arrows. Doing so can damage the product’s seal against
moisture and water (IP67).
This does not apply to LockR Cabinet or LockR Rotary Switch. Nor does it apply to LockR
Cylinder MIF80A
x, which is intended for indoor use only and has no IP rating.
