Programming the Remote Control

VCR Function Buttons

Program your remote control to control your VCR as described on
the next page. Then test the VCR buttons to see which ones
operate your VCR.

Press the VCR button to set remote to control a compatible VCR.
Some buttons may not work with every VCR.

(Buttons Listed in Alphabetical Order)

CH+ and –

Use to select the next higher or lower channel in the

VCR’s memory.

CLEAR

Use to reset time counter to 0:00:00.

FORWARD

Use to forward the tape when the VCR is stopped. It

also searches the picture in forward motion during playback.

INFO

Shows VCR operating displays on the TV screen.

INPUT

Use to select the line input.

MARKER•ANT

Switches picture signal so that it either comes

from the VCR or the TV channel. (Same as TV•VCR button.)

MENU

Displays and removes the VCR’s menus on the TV screen.

MOVE Arrows

Allows you to move through the menus, enter

data and change settings of selected features.

Digits (0 through 9)

Select a channel using the digit buttons.

Select a cable channel over 99 by pressing and holding 1 until 1--
appears. Then press the other two digits.

PAUSE

Use to pause the action during playback or recording.

PLAY

Plays a tape.

POWER

Use to turn off VCR when remote is set to control it.

Press twice to turn off all compatible components.

RECORD

Starts VCR recording.

RETURN

Switches between two channels.

REVERSE

Use to rewind the tape when the VCR is stopped. It also

searches the picture in reverse during playback.

STOP

Stops the normal functions, such as record, playback,

rewind, fast forward, and pause.
