PROCEDURE:
ASSISTANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
STEP 1-
REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS
CAREFULLY. FACTORY INSTALLED OR AFTERMARKET "ROCK RAILS," SIDE STEPS OR RUNNING
BOARDS MUST BE REMOVED.
STEP 2- Locate the driver side step and place close to the vehicle. (The long bracket with the stud goes toward
the front of the vehicle)
STEP 3- Remove the four body mount nuts attached to the vehicle frame at the 2
nd
and 3
rd
location. (Figure 1).
STEP 4- Start installation toward the front of the driver side of the vehicle. Locate the factory hole in the vehicle
frame rail. (Figure 2).
STEP 5- Insert the stud mounted to the front bracket into the hole in the frame. Using the supplied washer and
nut, hand tighten the hardware to help hold the rock rail securely close to the frame. (Figure 3).
STEP 6- With the front bracket properly located, raise the rear of the rock rail until it slides over the body mount
studs and rests flush against the bottom of the body mount. Reuse the OE hex nuts to attach. Leave hand tight.
(Figure 4).
STEP 7- Once all of the brackets have been attached, position the rock rail so there is an even gap between the
vehicle body and rail tube. Tighten all hardware.
STEP 8- Repeat Steps 2-7 for the passenger side.
STEP 9- Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.
