OmniSeed™ Viper Pro™ Installation & Operation Manual

Pr SGain (Pressure System Gain)

The default setting for the Sgain value is 100. To adjust the system aggressiveness, enter a value between 1
and 999 as necessary.

Note:

It is recommended to increase or decrease the current value in increments of 10 or less when
making adjustments to the Sgain setting. If the new value does not produce significant or notable
changes in the system response, increments of 20 may be used.

Increase the Sgain value if the observed product pressure increases too slowly or if the system takes a long
time to reach a set standby pressure or rate input change. If the system is consistently over shooting a set
standby pressure or oscillating around a target rate, decrease the Sgain value until the system stabilizes.

Fan Cal

1.

The OmniSeed Viper Pro must be calibrated to monitor the fans used to provide air flow for product bins on
the air cart.

The system offers four fan speed monitoring channels for use with OmniSeed systems.

Note:

The AUX channel may be used as a fifth fan speed channel if necessary. Select the type of sensor
(Hydraulic) for fan speed monitoring and set the values as described below.

To configure the air cart fans from the Viper Pro main screen:

1.

Touch within the

Product Control

area at the bottom of the main screen.

2.

Touch the Fan Calibration area on the CAN Controller Status screen to display the Fan Calibration screen.

Cal.

Enter the number of pulses detected by the fan sensor per revolution of the fan.

Low Limit.

Enter a value for the low limit to activate an alarm if the fan speed (RPM) falls below the set value.

Note:

To prevent plugging the main seed runs, the OmniSeed system will not allow the granular products
to be enabled or toggled on if the low fan speed alarm is activated.

High Limit.

Enter a value for the high limit to activate an alarm if the fan speed (RPM) rises above the set

value.
