Chapter 8

OmniSeed Section 

Control

The Raven automatic section control feature with the OmniSeed system allows the Viper Pro field computer to 
automatically control section shut off for a single seed section or multiple liquid sections on an air seeder 
implement. The field computer will automatically shut off sections based upon previously covered area or a 
zone map created by the Viper Pro. In addition, field boundaries recorded with the Viper Pro will automatically 
set up a no-apply boundary around the target area to help eliminate over seeding outside the desired area.

When enabled, the section control functionality will automatically turn off an active section as the implement 
section enters an area where the implement has previously covered with active implement sections. As the 
implement leaves the previously applied area, the field computer turns the implement sections back on.

The following sections offer instructions for setting up and using the section control feature with the OmniSeed 
system. Contact a local Raven dealer for more information and available kits for specific machines.
