Autonomous Operation Overview

2. Set up tractor and combine machine profiles. Review "Machine Profile Setup" on

page 242.

3. Import or create field boundaries for the autonomous tractor. Refer to "Field Boundary

Set Up" on page 243.

4. Start a new OMNiDRIVE™ autonomous grain cart operation. Review to "Start an Oper-

ation" on page 246.

Note:

Each combine connected to the OMNiDRIVE™ system will need to start an

operation to add to the harvest coverage map and allow the autonomous tractor to

plan efficient routes during operations.

Set Points, Plan Routes, and Sync with the Combine

DANGER

Do not ride in the cab or operate OMNiDRIVE™ while passengers

are in the operator cab. The autonomous vehicle may change dir-

ection, speed, or stop without warning. Always engage the Lock-

out Switch when working on or around the autonomous vehicle.

Toggle the armrest switch to manual mode while in the operator

position.

1. Set stage and unload points within the operation. Refer to "Set Stage and Unload

Points" on page 251.

2. Plan routes and sync the tractor with combine. Refer to "Route Planning and Syncing

with the Combine" on page 253.

Safety and Inspections

Daily Walk-Around and Inspection

The following inspections are required daily while operating the OMNiDRIVE™ tractor in

autonomous mode.

Note:

An operator will not be in the cab of the tractor to monitor the tractor or grain cart

throughout the day. Always perform an equipment inspection before starting autonomous

operations. Never assume that the tractor, grain cart, or safety systems are ready to operate

without performing an inspection.
