Configuration window: Remote-device Mode.
Save to Disk: the Configuration window lets the user save modifications to disk by
left clicking the “Save to Disk” button. If a file has not been opened, the user will
be prompted to either open an existing file or select a new file name for storing the
configuration. Context sensitive help can be invoked by left clicking on the Help
button or by pressing the F1 key.
Send/Receive MRC Data: when connected to the MRC7601 via a PC, the user
can send the changes made on the PC to the MRC7601 by left clicking the “Send-
MRC-Data” button or upload existing configuration in the MRC7601 by left
clicking the “Receive-MRC-Data” button.
After downloading the settings to the MRC7601, the MRC7601 automatically resets itself.
This takes about 10 seconds, during which no operations will succeed. The front panel LED
will flash the version and subversion numbers.
The user can repeatedly download multiple MRC7601 units by simply moving the
DB9 cable from unit to unit and clicking the Send button.
To re-transmit the same setup code to the MRC7601, the user must first download a different
setup code, then re-program the desired setup code. Otherwise, the MRC7601 will ignore
requests to re-send the same set up code.
Terminal Emulation window.
The Terminal emulation window lets the user perform basic diagnostics on the
MRC7601. On double clicking on the terminal emulation window, the user is
automatically logged on to the MRC7601. Upon logon, the user can see $XXXX
on the terminal window. If you do not see the $XXXX, and you are sure that the
MRC7601 is physically connected, you must click on the Logon to MRC button.
This connection will be reattempted.
