Dual Peak Calibrate - Particle Mode

The calibration values for all substances are stored in a configuration file included with the device software. If the
peak heights do not meet the minimum requirement for auto calibration, the manual calibration routine enables
you to select peaks (typically displayed within the white window on the manual calibration screen) that you know
are correct but are just below the auto calibration peak height requirements.

1. Select Menu > Manual Calibrate.

2. Press Dual Peak Calibrate.

A message to select the calibration substance displays.

3. Verify

Neg-CAL is selected from the list of substances.

4. Press OK.

A message displays to insert a calibration trap.

5. Wearing clean cotton gloves, remove a calibration trap from the package.

6. Close the cover immediately to avoid contamination.

7. Insert the calibration trap into the desorber.
