5.3 Operating the clutch
Engage
• Keep the dead man handle pressed.
• Turn travel drive rotary grip to 0 position.
• Actuate the "Engage" switch (approx. 2 sec.) until the indicator lamp illuminates in
green.
Disengage
• Actuate the "Disengage" switch (indicator lamp flashes in green).
5.4 Starting off and stopping
Driving forwards Slowly turn the travel drive rotary grip from 0 position to the right until the desired travel
speed is reached.
Reversing If the travel drive rotary grip is turned to the left from 0 position, the machine moves
backwards.
Stopping The machine is stopped by turning the travel drive rotary grip slowly back to 0 position.
The machine is engaged and disengaged using the switch.
1 = Disengage
2 = Engage
Disengage:
disconnects the combustion engine from the travel and
PTO shaft drive.

Note
• The clutch disconnects the combustion engine from the PTO shaft drive and the travel
drive.
• Disengaging takes place by releasing the dead man handle and the travel drive rotary
grip.
• If the travel drive rotary grip is deflected or at a system voltage below 10 V, engagement
is not possible. The travel drive and the PTO shaft drive are switched off (indicator lamp
flashes rapidly in green).
Warning
The machine may suddenly trap the operator or third persons, cause them to fall over or
run them over.
• After disengaging the machine the immobilisation brake must be applied.
• If the attachment is blocked due to improper use or overload and is again engaged
several times without the fault having been rectified, the engagement clearance MUST
be checked.
Note
• The drive must be engaged in order to start off.
• To optimise the machine's standstill state, this can be reset via the controller. Proceed
as follows:
- Stop machine (turn travel drive rotary grip to 0 position).
- Actuate "Off" clutch switch.
- Actuate "On" clutch switch.
The standstill is reset.
