Changing the Hose
NOTE!
Wearing protective gloves protects the skin from contact
with skin damaging materials. During work steps in
which you work with printing materials or cleaning
agents, we always recommend wearing protective
gloves.
The hose of the refill unit is a wearing part and is to be replaced at the
first signs of wear (damage, discolouration).
Required Accessories
Safety gloves, paper towels, replacement hose
Preparation
Proceed as follows to prepare for changing the hose:
1.
Wear protective gloves on your hands.
2.
Spread out several paper towels on the work surface.
3.
Have the replacement hose ready.
4.
Open the top and middle hood.
5.
Insert the hose holder with the material feed hose into the
parking position on the machine housing. The short end of the
hose with the stainless-steel nozzle must be pointing upwards.
Take care that none of the material drips down!
6.
Fold the peristaltic pump cover upwards to open the hose
passage of the pump.
7.
Remove the material feed hose from the hose passage of the
pump.
8.
Pull the hose out of the hose holder guide. Keep the end of the
hose upright to avoid dripping material.
9.
Now pull the stainless-steel tube out of the material bottle, again
keeping the end upright to avoid dripping material.
10.
Lay out the hose on the work surface.
Execution
For changing the hose, please proceed as follows:
1.
Take the new hose in your hand.
2.
Lay the hose along the holder guide so that the hose clamp at
the upper end of the hose (short stainless-steel spigot) is flush
with the hose holder. Press the hose back into the holder guide.
3.
Then insert the hose holder along with the hose into the refill
printing position (horizontal position). The end of the hose with
the short stainless-steel nozzles should now point into the left-
hand reservoir outlet opening.
4.
Pass the long end of the hose through the hose passage of the
pump. Press the pump cover down to fix the new hose in the
pump.
5.
Now insert the end of the hose with the bevelled stainless-steel
tube into the material bottle.
6.
Insert the hose into the hose cut-out on the left-hand side of the
mounting plate and clamp it behind the lug provided. Close
both hoods again.
7.
Dispose of the used hose as intended according to local waste
disposal regulations.
For better differentiation: Mark the hose with the
respective material name using a labelling flag
(included in delivery).
