Instrument Functions for Vector Signal Analysis

Operating Manual 1176.7578.02 ─ 09

To define the pattern, proceed as follows:

a) If necessary, add a new symbol field by pressing "Add".
b) Select the symbol field you want to define.
c) Enter a value using the keyboard. Depending on the "Modulation Order", the

value can be in the range 0 to n-1, where n is the "Modulation Order", e.g. 8 for
8-PSK.

d) Select the next symbol field, or insert a new one, and continue to define the

other symbols. To scroll through the fields for long patterns, use the scrollbar
beneath the input area. The number beneath the scrollbar at the right end indi-
cates the sequential number of the last symbol field, the number in the center
indicates the sequential number of the currently selected symbol field.
To remove a symbol field, select it and press "Remove".
