4 CDMA2000 Signaling

With the "CDMA2000 Signaling" application (option R&S CMW-KS800 CDMA2000,
basic signaling"), the R&S

CMW can emulate a CDMA2000 Base Station (BS) trans-

mitting a CDMA2000 forward signal to which the CDMA2000 Mobile Station (MS)
under test can synchronize.

The basic signaling functionality provided by R&S CMW-KS800 can be extended by
the following options:

R&S CMW-KS810 "CDMA2000, adv. signaling)" that supports advanced signaling
configuration

●

R&S CMW-KS888 "CDMA2000

®

hybrid mode, generic signaling" adds support for

CDMA2000

®

1xRTT and 1xEV-DO hybrid network setups

●

R&S CMW-KE100 and R&S CMW-KE800 enable internal fading (fader I/Q board
also required)

Most tests can be performed using the CDMA2000 "Multi Evaluation" measurement
(option R&S CMW-KM800). Data transfer tests can be performed using the Data Appli-
cation Unit (DAU, option R&S CMW-B450x and R&S CMW-KM050).

Additional RX measurements are provided by the "CDMA2000 signaling" application.
