6.2.4 Orthogonal Channel Noise Simulator (OCNS)
The OCNS is used to simulate the users or control signals on the other orthogonal
channels of a downlink. The channelization code and relative level settings for OCNS
signals are specified in the terminal conformance specification 3GPP TS 34.121; see
tables below. The spreading factor of the OCNS signal is 128. The DPCH data for
each channelization code are uncorrelated with each other and with any wanted signal
over the period of any measurement. The parameters are chosen to simulate a signal
with realistic Peak to Average Ratio.
The following tables list the channelization codes and relative level settings for non-
HSDPA tests (R99) and HSDPA tests (R5).
