Statement
This document is a guide to simple and convenient hardware installation. Please read it carefully before installation to
prevent bodily injury or device damage.
The device installation personnel must be well trained to master correct installation operations and safety precautions
before installation.
Device installation shall follow local safety regulations. Precautions listed in this document are suppliments to local
safety regulartions. Raisecom shall not be liable for any accidents if common safety operation requirements are
violated, or design, manufacturing, or usage security standards for devices are violated.
High-voltage safety
Do not install or remove the device when it is powered on, to prevent unpredictable bodily injury.
Use special tools instead of common tools when conducting operations in high voltage and AC power conditions.
Keep the device from being dampened while operating it in a damp environment. Once the device is dampened, power it
off immediately.
Grounding safety
Ensure correct grounding before installing cables. Avoid installing the device before it is grounded.
Laser safety
Before cutting or welding the fiber, disconnect the fiber and the optical source.
Do not stare into the laser output interface to avoid eye injury.
Power cable safety
Turn off the power or disconnect the power before installing/removing power cables.
Make sure that the label of the power cable is correct before connecting the power cable.
Use a qualified power cable. Do not use a power cable that fails to meet the specifications.
