6. Log in to the APSolute Vision CLI, and do the following:
— Run the
net ip set
command to set the IP address of the G3 port (optional) and the G4
port. The G3 port is for data and configuration backup of APSolute Vision and APM data. The
G4 port, which is mandatory in the APSolute Vision Server with APM Server VA offering,
carries APM data.
Syntax
net ip set <IP_address> <netmask> { G1 | G2 | G3 | G4 }
— As required, use
net route
commands to configure IP routing settings.

Installing APSolute Vision Server with APM Server VA on KVM
You can install APSolute Vision Server with APM Server VA on the KVM virtualization infrastructure.
The installation procedure for installing APSolute Vision Server with APM Server VA on KVM is similar
to that of installing APSolute Vision VA on KVM and is detailed above. See

Hyper-V
You can install APSolute Vision Server with APM Server VA on the Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization
infrastructure.

Setting the APM Server License
For information on setting the APM server license in APSolute Vision, see the Application

Configuring APM in APSolute Vision
When the APSolute Vision with APM Server VA is installed, the APM settings in the APSolute Vision
are not set by default and must be set.

Installing LVM
LVM (Logical Volumes Management) provides a higher-level view of the disk storage. It gives the
system administrator much more flexibility in allocating storage to applications and users.
LVM functionality allows you to:
• Resize disk partitions dynamically and easily.
• Add disks, replace disks, copy and share contents from one disk to another without disrupting service
• Create snapshots and backup the snapshot LV without taking the database volume offline while the
backup is taking place
