1. Slide the battery cover latch away from the cover

to unlock it, then slide off the cover in the direc-
tion of the arrow.

2. Place a battery in the compartment according to

the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.

3. Replace the cover, then slide the latch toward the

cover to lock it.
