The phone is equipped with a
DATA
jack so you can connect
another phone or an answering machine to LINE2. You can
plug one end of a modular cord into either
LINE L1/L2
or
L3

or
DATA
at the right side of the phone, then plug the other
end into the jack of another phone or an answering
machine. You cannot use LINE 2 while another phone or
answering machine is connected to
DATA
and in use. LINE
1 and LINE 3 still function normally. When you are finished
using another phone or answering machine, LINE 2 will be
available.

Plug the supplied coiled handset cord into the jacks on the
handset and the left side of the phone. Your local
RadioShack store sells a variety of longer coiled handset
cords, which are especially useful when you mount the
phone on the wall.

If a line is in use, the indicator lights. If a line is on hold, the
indicator flashes.
