Amplified Indoor TV Antenna

Your RadioShack Amplified Indoor TV Antenna provides
excellent reception of VHF and UHF broadcast TV chan-
nels and FM radio stations in most listening locations. This
antenna receives signals equally well from any direction,
and its built-in amplifier helps boost the signal for better
reception. You can connect the antenna’s 75-ohm con-
nector directly to your TV or FM receiver. The antenna’s
compact, modern styling blends well with the decor of al-
most any home. The antenna lies flat on top of your TV,
letting you locate it inconspicuously.

PLACING THE ANTENNA

To get the best performance from your antenna, place it
on top of your TV or on a non-metal flat surface near your
TV. For the best results, make sure the antenna is away
from obstructions such as metal cabinets. (Higher fre-
quencies are noticeably affected by obstructions.) Do not
place the antenna near any metal surface such as a re-
frigerator, a metal door or wall, or a water pipe hidden be-
hind a wall. This greatly reduces the antenna’s ability to
receive signals.

If your TV does not have
a large flat surface on its
top, pull down the hinged
foot on the bottom of the
antenna and adjust it to
fit the top of the TV. Then
use the foot to brace the
antenna on top of the TV.

CONNECTING AND TUNING
THE ANTENNA

1. Connect the 75-ohm coaxial cable attached to the

back of the antenna to your TV’s antenna input termi-
nal or your radio’s FM antenna input terminal.

If your TV has screw terminals for VHF/UHF connec-
tion, connect a 75-to-300 ohm transformer (such as
Cat. No. 15-1140, not supplied) between the coaxial
cable and the VHF/UHF terminals.

If your TV has a 75-ohm VHF connector and a 300-
ohm UHF connector, connect a signal splitter (such
as Cat. No. 15-1231, not supplied) between the coax-
ial cable and the TV’s VHF/UHF connector.
