AM/FM stereo headset radio
using the radio
Your headset requires one AAA battery (not
included, available at RadioShack or online at
www.radioshack.com). When the sound weakens,
replace the battery.
1. Open the battery compartment
cover. Replace when fi nished.
2. Place the battery in the
compartment as indicated by
the polarity symbols (+ and –).

• Dispose of old battery promptly and properly. Do not
burn or bury it.
• Use only a fresh battery of the required size and
recommended type.
• If you do not plan to use your radio for a month
or longer, remove the battery. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can damage electronic parts.

To protect your hearing when using your headset radio,
set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin
listening. Then, adjust it to a comfortable level. Wearing
headphones while driving a car or riding a bicycle can
create a traffi c hazard and can be illegal in some areas.
caring for your radio
Keep the headset dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry
immediately. Use and store the headset only in room
temperature environments. Handle the headset carefully.
Do not drop it. Keep the headset away from dust and
dirt, and wipe it with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it
looking new.
