Re-install the RAID Controller in each enclosure.

Be sure to the set the Host HBA Initiator IDs as indicated in the illustration on the
previous page, or use a unique Initiator ID for each Host HBA.

Connect the SCSI data cable(s).
a
Connect one cable from the Host #1 HBA SCSI port to the lower “Host CH 0”
connector on the RAID Controller.

Connect a second cable from the second Host #2 HBA SCSI port to the
lower “Host CH 1” connector on the RAID Controller.

Connect a SCSI data cable from the upper “Host CH 0” connector on the RAID
Controller in the first enclosure to the lower “Host CH 0” connector on the
RAID Controller in the second storage enclosure.

Connect a second SCSI data cable from the upper “Host CH 1” connector on the
RAID Controller in the first enclosure to the lower “Host CH 1” connector on
the RAID Controller in the second storage enclosure.

Repeat sub-steps c & d for each additional enclosure to be added to the SCSI
chain.

Power on your system, refer to “Powering On the Storage System” on page 41.

Access the VT-100 interface for each enclosures’ RAID Controller and set the
Controller Port IDs. Refer to “Controller Port IDs” in the VT-100 software guide and
the illustration on the previous page.
You may also use StorView to set the Controller Port IDs, refer to the StorView
Storage Management software guide
This completes the setup and cabling of this configuration.
