PSM Power Consumption Testing
Procedures
Once the GSM EVB is modified, please follow the steps below to test the power consumption in PSM for
BC95 series module:
1. Connect BC95-TE-A to 60-pin connector, and fix it with studs and nuts;
2. Insert a USIM card;
3. Connect the main and debug port to the PC respectively with USB to UART converter cables;
4. Regulate the output voltage to 3.6V on DC power analyzer, and connect the binding posts to J103
according to the negative and positive electrodes, to supply power for the module separately;
5. Connect the GSM EVB to the 5V power adaptor, and switch S202 to
ON
state;
6. Press
ON
button on DC power analyzer to turn on the power supply in
“Power Supply Outputs” area
to test the power consumption of the module;
7. Send
AT+NCONFIG=AUTOCONNECT,FALSE
and
AT+CFUN=0
commands to let the module enter
PSM. For details about AT commands, please refer to
