Step 2: Cable the Lattus
A10 Access Node
Task:
Cable the Lattus A10 Access Node to the Lattus Controller Nodes
using either of the two supported methods:
•
Direct-Connect
: The Lattus A10 connects one 10gE port (Eth5)
directly to a 10gE port (Eth6) on Controller Node 1, and a second
10gE port (Eth7) directly to another 10gE port (Eth6) on Controller
Node2. All other ports except port 0 (Eth0) are available.
•
Switched-Interconnect
: The Lattus A10 connects to the C10
controller nodes through a customer-supplied interconnect switch,
using any available port on the switch. This method enables
providing I/O access to the C10 controller nodes for HTTP/REST
protocol applications on the same private subnets.
Before You Begin
Complete these tasks before you begin cabling the Lattus A10:
1
Refer to the Site Survey document for the chosen method applicable
to the customer.
2
Before installing any cables, label each power cable and Ethernet
cable.
3
Verify that rack power is turned OFF.
4
Connect power cords. Be sure to use the cords shipped with the
unit.
Do not connect the pronged end of the cord to the rack's power
source at this time. However, you can plan where each cord will be
plugged in. When planning cord connections to the power source,
