b. Plug the HD miniSAS cables into the HD miniSAS ports.
c. Route the power cords through the I/O module handle.

Important:

Do not plug in the PSUs until the I/O module is fully seated.

d. Push the I/O module into the chassis until seated against the sleds.
e. Lock the I/O module handle by pushing rotating the I/O module handle up.

9. Plug the power cords into the power cord ports at the bottom of each power supply unit. The Storage

Enclosure basic will power on automatically.

10. In ActiveScale SM, verify that sled installation succeeded.

ONLINE

c. In the system graphic, select the correct Storage Enclosure Basic and confirm that:

• Its status is

ONLINE

• The correct number and position of installed sled(s) is shown
• Disks in the newly installed sled(s) have the status

NOTMANAGED

11. Repeat this procedure (starting from step 1) for

each unvisited Storage Node- Storage Enclosure

Basic pair at each site

12.2 Provisioning the newly added sleds on a single site system

Follow this procedure after you have completed the hardware steps for a

single

scale up kit. Each system

must have identical scale up configurations.

Important:

The system must be in a stable state before scaling up. The scale up

job checks data safety levels when it starts. If the system is freshly installed, or if

you just completed an initial scale up, wait 10-15 minutes for the system to

stabilize and start recording data safety levels. This is particularly important if

you purchased multiple columns for an initial install. Systems that have been

running for some time may have a data safety issue as reported in ActiveScale

SM. You must resolve any data safety issues before attempting to scale up. If the
