2.7. Air Baffle

Removing an Air Baffle

This procedure applies to the processor number 2 heat sink 
removal. See the numbering of the processors in 

Mainboard 

Connectors and Jumpers

 section.

Prerequisite:

Remove the top cover. See 

Removing a Top Cover

.

1. Loosen the captive screw(s) securing the heat sink 

assembly to the mainboard in an order shown on the fol-
lowing image:

Removing Heat Sink Assembly

WARNING!

The heatsink remains hot after the system has been powered 
down. Allow sufficient time to cool before handling system compo-
nents.
