Typical Sensor Values

Generally, readings are best used as a comparison guide for like sensors from one

machine to another, however, if a sensor has failed, the readings are likely to be very

low or zero.
The image below shows an example of a typical analog sensor value, and translates

as follows:

•

'T'

= Threshold voltage, generally over 2.5V (this is the switching voltage between

blocked and clear)

•

'I'

= Effort of current required to read across the sensor halves (typically between

10% and 60%)

•

'R'

= Percentage of pot value on PCB (

'C'

= clear,

'B'

= blocked) and sensor voltage

(typically <0.5V for clear, >4.5V for blocked)
