Media Control Guide & Exit Pressure Roller Assembly Use
The AS-850 Printer is shipped with two accessories that can be used to help improve
how Media travels through the Print Area, under the Print Units and exits the printer.
Media Control Guide [A]
Exit Pressure Roller Assembly [B]
If Media feeds and exits without issue (without jamming, skewing and with little to no
image distortion) then these accessories can be removed or repositioned so they are
out of the paper-path.
Install and position the Media Control Guide [A] , so it holds-down the Media, if any of
the following issues are occurring:
• Media is lifting and touching/smearing the wet image printed by the first Print Unit (Heads 1, 2).
• Media is catching and or skewing as it travels under the middle Print Unit (Heads 3, 4, 5, 6).
• Media is catching or skewing as it enters under the last Print Unit (Heads 7, 8).
TIP : The additional pressure from the Media Control Guide can also help to improve media contact with belts.
Install and position the Exit Pressure Roller Assembly [B] , so it contacts the Media, if any of the following issues
are occurring:
•
Media is turning/skewing as it exits Printer.
• Printed image is distorted, due to Media hesitation or skew.
TIP : To avoid offset and smudging of images, position accessories to avoid contact with wet images.
