Starting Up

When the SideKar is powered on, you will see a welcome
screen briefly. For reference, the firmware version is displayed
on this screen:

The SideKar will then automatically attempt to connect with the
rig via its serial port. 38400 baud is the required speed.

Note: turn the rig on first before turning the SideKar on.

When the SideKar establishes a connection to a rig, it will
briefly let you know. A connection is established after the
SideKar sends a command to the rig and the rig responds
appropriately.

If the rig is in the text mode and is displaying characters in the
lower right of the screen, the SideKar will automatically show
