If you are experiencing problems with printing from a PC (not related
to print quality), make sure you followed the instructions in chapter 1,
“Connecting the Printer” (especially the information about drivers).
Then check the following:

Does your application require any additional printer setup steps
(check the printing section of the application documentation).

If you are using a serial interface, are you experiencing a protocol
problem? See “Checking Serial Communication Settings” on
page 46 for information. Also, setting the printer to DTR/DSR pro-
tocol. If that does not work, check your serial interface cable. You
may also want to try setting the printer to XON/XOFF protocol.
