QMS 4525 Print System User's Guide

Introduction

This chapter explains many of the printer operations you will do fre-
quently, including turning the printer on and off, loading paper, refilling
tone, adjusting the paper size switch, using and refilling the stapler,
and emptying the output bins.

Turning the Printer On

Use the following procedure to turn the printer on:

1

Locate the power switch on the right-hand side of the printer.

2

Press it to the | position.

The printer diagnostics take 30 seconds to complete.

As each test is started, a message is displayed in the control
panel message window to identify the test being executed.

If an error is detected, the appropriate error code is displayed
in the control panel message window and at the console, and
the next test is started.
