VMware Driver Installation and Configuration

Install the driver VIB using the following

 esxcli 

commands:

a.

To make a temporary directory, issue the following commands: 

mkdir /install

cd /install

b.

Issue the following command: 

esxcli software vib install -v /install/<driver-vib>

Verifying the Version of the Installed Driver

To verify the installed package in the system, issue the following command:

esxcli software vib list | grep qla2

xxx

The driver version is embedded in the VIB version.

For example, the output looks like the following:

Installing QConvergeConsole VMware vCenter Server Plug-in

To use QConvergeConsole VMware vCenter Server Plug-in, install the following 
software in this order:

1.

QConvergeConsole VMware vCenter Server Plug-in

 on the vCenter 

Server

2.

QLogic Adapter CIM Provider

 on the ESXi server
